It may be trite, it may be cliche, it is probably old-fashioned

But there is a place for the Christmas Party and it serves its purpose
The one time of the year where everyone (except for the biggest enemies) gets a hug
Where most remarks and actions can be excused in light of the alcohol consumption
(some-people’s personalities change completely)
Free flowing alcohol
Some hesitancy (or embarrassment) returning to work the next week
(but ideally, no one gets hurt)
