Antivirus Programs scare me
Seems like they slow-down the computer
They do things which you can not control

They are so big, and heavily advertised
(I searched for alternate antivirus programs and the same day Norton Ads appeared while I was reading the New York Times)

They are not cheap and automatically renew each year
(you can not remove them)
