There is an element of “unrequited” love, which is sublime

So keep it in perspective (like they chanted during the Easter Vigin Mass, “don’t ask – pray”)
Sometimes it feels like a “toxic” relationship, which is not healthy
So, keep it in perspective
At like someone suggested to me at St Peter’s Bible, are you doing things for the “right reason”
Proceed with caution when you are planning grandiose gestures of charity, penance, prayer, attendance at mass, etc
Maybe less “popcorn, pizza and donuts” or targeted gift giving
It is sublime, like performing a good deed and not expecting thanks
